David is a community leader who is renowned for his instincts of leading and investing in people that can make an impact. David’s history of enterprise value creation is based on putting people in position to succeed and giving them the tools they need to win.

Prior to founding Acktify, David was a founding partner, and continues on the leadership team, of Middlesex Development, a real estate firm whose mission is to develop environmentally friendly and affordable town homes throughout David’s hometown of Melrose and surrounding communities.

David was also founder and CEO of Boston Computer Group an arbitrage firm buying and re-selling branded digital equipment and components. BCG operated a state of the art trading floors on three continents allowing their traders to gain comprehensive access to market information 7 days per week, 365 days a year. In 1997 BCG launched an Asset Management and IT Services division that earned industry respect as a resource for reliable, affordable IT asset tracking and management of service contracts for industries with mission-critical IT environments primarily data centers in the Financial and Healthcare industries. David sucessfully sold BCG in 2007.

Evangelist and Chief Technology Officer:

Tuner spearheads all Technology Operations at Acktify. Turner was the 4th hire at Acktify in 2009. His attention to detail and his passion for solving the most complex problems has become the basis to the Acktify eCom marketplace solution.

Prior Experience and Role Highlights:

Turner is a driven executive who in the last 6 years has been instrumental with the scale up of the Acktify operations. He has served in every role in the company from customer service, to distribution, to buying, to technology. Turner has led operation during a period of 2000% growth in daily consumer shipments.

Turner built and led every process within the customer service team, and became the youngest Amazon channel strategic account manager in the industry. He also designed, tested, and implemented the “lightest” cross dock solution in the Consumer Product Goods vertical.

Prior to joining Acktify, Turner actively built and still leads Friends of Ngong Road, a charitable organization promoting micro businesses in East Africa that support community self sufficiency. Turner developed and led the efforts on the ground in Africa to use businesses to fund education, women’s services, and practical agriculture reform so communities could break the 300 year cycle of poverty and tribal conflict.

Peters primary accountability is to drive operational efficiencies. Peter leads the Acktify order operations team and our partner 3PL fulfillment centers across the US and Canada. He strives daily to not only refine our order processing procedures but to then scale these activities to support the company’s rapid growth plans. Additionally, Peter provides guidance to the Acktify Customer Care team through the review of our service performance metrics, the identification and implementation of process improvement opportunities thus enabling this team to effectively meet the needs of a rapidly growing customer base.

Prior Experience and Role Highlights

Peter has demonstrated business leadership, transformational skill, and managerial expertise over two decades working with multiple manufacturers in the Building Materials and Semiconductor & Thin Film Equipment industries. In the roles of Business Unit General Manager and VP of Sales & Marketing, Peter led these businesses to revenue growth, operating cost improvements and EBITDA increases.

Most recently with Metal Sales Manufacturing, Peter initially led the revenue growth and profitability improvement of their Sellersburg, Indiana facility, the largest of the company’s 21 locations nationwide. By identifying market opportunities and launching new products to fulfill these needs, utilizing LEAN tools to reduce operating costs, and driving accountability with the management team with clearly defined, measurable objectives, double-digit revenue growth and triple-digit EBITDA improvement was achieved. This role evolved into leading the company’s global supply chain team to double the company’s inventory turns on 300 Million pounds of steel coil purchased annually.

Prior to Metal Sales, Peter worked at Aleris International as the Business Unit GM of their ALSCO Metals subsidiary. With full Profit & Loss responsibility for this $200 Million, multi-site manufacturer of aluminum-based residential building products, Peter led the development and execution of the company’s overall and functional strategy. In less than 3 years, he and the ALSCO Metals leadership team returned the business unit to revenue growth and achieved EBITDA improvements of $30 Million.

In addition to expertise in driving financial, commercial, and operational improvements, Peter is quite adept at building cohesive, high-energy teams, developing systems to gather and analyze data, and coaching the team to use that data to make the best business decisions.

Bruce currently leads our strategy and business development efforts. In this role, Bruce has helped orient the business to become a leading seller on global eCom marketplaces. Additionally, he is responsible for planning, analyzing, and securing additional suppliers and product offerings for the Acktify eCom arbitrage solution.

Bruce is a proven executive with a 25 year record of significant sustainable results and progressive responsibility with Fortune 1000 Retailers and CPG Companies. Bruce has been a member of and led, several successful management teams that have navigated equity transactions.

Bruce’s peers regard him as a forward thinker and best practice leader with a track record of maximizing revenue, profit, and shareholder value in diverse businesses. An MBA with business acumen spanning start-up, organic and acquisition based growth, and turnaround efforts in highly competitive consumer products, retail, and manufacturing.

Prior to joining Acktify, Bruce served as COO of Americo Group a tightly held private label apparel company where he led efforts to implement SAP, a world class Asian based quality assurance process, and a re-structured distribution network capable of supporting the 200%, or $140mil growth during his tenure.

Bruce also led operations and strategy efforts at Maidenform Inc, Bauer Performance Sports, Easton Bell Sports, and Linen’s and Things during private equity and company sales transactions. In 2000 Bruce founded Compliance Networks, a supply chain intelligence SAS.

Financial Controller

Mike joined Acktify in September of 2014. Responsible for accounting, financial planning, administration and HR oversight he draws on over 30 years experience in managing closely held middle market companies.

Mike was a co-founder of Fetco International Home Décor, an importer and wholesaler supplying consumer products to major retailers and independents. He led all aspects of finance, operations, administration, HR and IT, and managed Fetco’s development of a proprietary ERP that was integrated with an Oracle Database and AP/GL. After the sale of Fetco in 1998 to a private equity group, he co-founded Market Vision Inc., a developer and wholesaler of specialty product to Target, Wal-Mart, Bed Bath & Beyond and other major retailers. In addition to the duties he performed at Fetco, he also managed product development. As a financial consultant between 2008 and 2014, he worked in various industries – consumer products; insurance; construction; and retail.

Since his arrival, Mike has restructured accounting systems and processes, secured long term trade and real estate financing, built financial models for cash flow forecasting and budgeting, completed an Employee Handbook and managed day to day activity in a fast paced growth environment.

Jennifer leads the growing Customer Care Department at Acktify. She joined the company in 2014 and continues to progressively fine-tune all aspects of the customer experience. Under her lead, positive feedback has climbed from 92% to 98% with a clear commitment that all customers are to be responded to 7 days a week and within 24 hours.

Role Highlights

Jennifer is committed to excellence and she and her team strive for 100% customer satisfaction. She oversees customer communication, claims, returns, order backlog, order exceptions and catalog adjustments. Over a year ago, the department implemented a nationally recognized, award-winning ticketing software to manage and streamline customer requests. This system allows the team to respond quickly and to track and manage problem areas so improvements and corrections can be made quickly.

Prior Experience

Before joining Acktify, Jennifer was the Director of Sales & Marketing for Bride & Groom Magazines, publishing two upscale bridal magazines in Arizona. With the Publisher, she founded and launched the Phoenix magazine in 2000 and Tucson magazine in 2004. She managed over 225 client accounts, cultivated relationships with over 800 area wedding professionals, and established more than 300 distribution outlets. She also implemented and configured the CRM (Client Relationship Management) system and maintained the websites. The magazine steadily grew to be the most respected in the state.

Prior to that, Jennifer worked in the Environmental Industry in Arizona. She served as the Director of Client Services at Bolin Laboratories. There she oversaw all administrative areas including accounting, client services, satellite offices, marketing, sales, shipping/receiving, and sample management. Jennifer increased sales by 75% in her time there as well as designed, implemented and maintained the CRM software.
